Caramel Squares (vegan, DF, GF)

Caramel Squares

The perfect snack or dessert for when you're craving something sweet but don't want the guilt. This clean recipe has been a staple in my freezer and takes almost no time to make (if you don't count the freezing time). It's insane how much it tastes like a chewy caramel truffle and contains no added sugars or dairy! Seriously... this treat is a must try!!

 

Ingredients:

  • 6 pitted dates (I prefer medjool)

  • 1/3 cup coconut butter

  • 2 tbsp tahini

  • 1/2 cup almond meal

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla bean powder

  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan pink salt 

  • *Extra pinches of salt to finish

 

Instructions:

Caramel Squares
  • Blend all ingredients together (aside from the extra salt)

  • Cover small baking tin with parchment paper and event distribute the batter, forming a semi-thin layer

  • Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the top

  • Freeze for at least 30 minutes & enjoy!

  • Store in Freezer for up to 1 month
