Sumac + Herb Rice

What you’ll need:

+1 cup Jasmine rice

+2 cups broth (chicken or vegetable)

+2 tbsp butter (you can also use olive oil if you prefer)

+a few stems of fresh dill

+a few stems of fresh parsley

+1/2 lemon

+1 tbsp sumac

+1 tsp garlic powder

+S&P to taste

How to:

+cook the rice as directed in the broth instead of water. My instructions say to rinse the rice, combine the broth + rice in a pot, bring to boil then cover and reduce to medium low heat for 15 minutes.

+when the rice is finished cooking, add the butter and stir well. Set aside to cool.

+chop up the herbs, very fine and add them to the rice along with the remaining ingredients.

+mix well and enjoy!
