Best Matcha in NYC
Here are my top matcha spots:
*Nomad, Soho
Cha Cha is a cult favorite and for good reason! The vibe is super fun and everything is branded pink and green. If I’m ordering a hot matcha, I’ll ask for a latte or cappuccino with half almond milk/half macadamia milk or an iced matcha with a splash of coconut milk. I’ll also grab a chia pudding if I’m hungry, because they’re also so cute and delish!
*West Village
If you’re looking for serious Aussie vibes, Merriweather is the matcha spot for you. I personally love to take the time out of my day to sit down and enjoy an almond milk latte + one their soups or salads for lunch!
*Chelsea, Soho
MatchaBar has everything from gorgeous green matcha to baked goods. It’s super cute and has great seating, making it an ideal place to work.
*Greenwich Village
Jack’s is 100% organic and also a vegan bakery. It has a lively atmosphere and delicious matcha even though it’s primarily a coffee house.
*Multiple Locations
Besides Chalait’s space being absolute gorgeous, their matcha is top notch. They also have great bites if you’re looking to stay put for a while.
*Lower SoHo
They use the highest quality organic matcha + have yummy treats!
*Midtown East
Ippodo is regarded as one of the best matcha’s you can buy (which is why I included it on my list for make at home matcha’s!). Ippodo is all about tradition & the NYC location is the first outside of Japan!
*Multiple Locations
Blue Stone Lane gives off serious beachy vibes because of its Aussie roots. They also have other wellness lattes besides matcha!
*West Village
The Elk is super chic and the perfect place to calm your mind while sipping a matcha. They also have great food!
*Chelsea
Citizens has brought Australian culture to the heart of NYC. Their matcha is amazing and it’s a great place to meet up with friends!
*Midtown West
A Japanese inspired tea house serving all things matcha, coffee & treats. If you want to try something new, the lavender matcha is delish! PLUS their green tea cream puff’s are a best seller.
*NOHO
A new kid on the block with a fun vibe, serving up all things matcha, wellness drinks & coffee.
