Gift Ideas for a New Mom/ Baby

For Mama

1. Cozy Set: To wear around the house that’s also acceptable for visitors (Top & Leggings)- I would buy a size up from what she normally wears. Trust me, this will last her a while!! I’m still wearing a medium in everything.

2. Baby Photo Album: For all the memories mama + baby will want to look back on.

3. Under Eye Masks: Mama will need them with her new sleep schedule.

4. Cozy Throw Blanket: For naps & baby cuddles- this blanket feels like butter + is V cute!

5. Cozy Slippers: She’ll be spending way more time at home, so a new pair of comfy (and chic) slippers are V useful.

6. Spa Service: For when mama needs some love. I suggest asking her favorite local spa that’s close to home. A facial or massage is the best gift!!

7. Polaroid Camera: To accompany the baby photo album or to have physical photos to display / share with family!

8. Soft Robe: Another piece I’m living in at home! When Gemma’s crying in the AM and I have to throw something on quickly…this is my go-to!

9. Postpartum Leggings: OMG I lived in these and could not recommend them enough for new moms! I loved the compression they provided, especially in the very beginning and wore them with oversized sweaters when I had to leave the house. Here is a less $ option!

10. Healthy Meal Delivery: New moms don’t have the time or energy to cook, so this might be the most useful gift of all. I personally love Sakara for healthy salads, etc. Use code XOBIANCA for a discount on your first delivery.

11. Frida Mom Postpartum Recovery Set: Comes with all the new mommy essentials to take care of HER.

*Other Ideas: a bottle of wine because she’s been waiting for it and regular check-in’s. Adjusting to mommyhood is HARD, especially mentally- everyone deals with postpartum hormones differently. A call or text asking how she’s feeling will be greatly appreciated.

For Baby

1. Age Blocks: A cute gift for those weekly or monthly pics. Also goes great with the baby photo album + polaroid camera!

2. Handprint Kit: Something to cherish forever!

3. Sherpa Blanket, Monogrammed: Gemma is absolutely obsessed with this blanket! It’s SO soft and she sleeps / naps with it daily. I ordered 4!!

4. Board Book Set: An educational gift for the future little traveler!

5. Announcement Block Ceramic Bank: This gift is so creative! A keepsake block that doubles as a bank & features spots to record baby's milestones.

6. A Designer Piece: This little Gucci swimsuit is EVERYTHING! Chances are, the cute seasonal pieces weren’t on the registry or a priority- so something special like this is very thoughtful. Here & here are other great options!

7. Jumbo Stuffed Elephant: The softest 24" plush addition to his or her nursery!

8. Baby Shusher: AKA the baby whisperer. It mimics the shhhh sound and will 1000% come in handy!!

9. Mustela Baby Bath Kit: For bath time!

10. Monogrammed Hooded Towel: I bought a few of these for Gemma with her name monogrammed- they’re so cute!

*Chances are the baby already has a million basic onesies that are 0-3 or 3-6 months (these won’t last long). I loved when people gifted Gemma two piece sets (boys & girls) so that I could mix & match her outfits (I suggest buying 6 months size). Also, there are never enough bibs, washcloths & socks (boys & girls).
